Gomer Sports Day
On Saturday May 10th the Gomer Welsh Museum hosted
the first ever "Gomer Sports Day". The
day started with Dave Whittington on WIMA's Mr. Wheels Show.
He discussed many aspects of Admiral
Byrd's snowcruiser and stressed that Gomer has the only cruiser
replica along with pictures and news articles displayed in the
Gomer Welsh Community Museum.
Later Vince Koza
hosted his Saturday Sports Talk show from the Welsh Museum and
interviewed former Gomer area baseball legends and other sports
figures.
The surrounding community showed great support for
the event and we thank everyone who participated and helped out.
