The Welsh Museum in Gomer, OH
The Gomer Welsh Museum was once Bobby Shelmadine's
place and is in the process of being converted to a museum. This
museum is dedicated to preserving the Welsh heritage of Gomer
as well as the good deeds Bobby did as Santa Claus.
The Welsh museum is directly across the street from
the Gomer Church of Christ.
GOALS OF THE MUSEUM
The various committees established to set up the museum have as
their goals:

Perpetuate the understanding of the Welsh heritage
and culture

Collect, catalog, and preserve appropriate memorabilia
and artifacts

Establish a process to collect oral histories
of families and significant events impacting Welsh culture

Collect and catalog pertinent papers, pictures,
and other documents

Serve as a center for Welsh culture, history,
and genealogy
