Gomer School Will
Be Closing - On Saturday, May 15 there will be a program and open house (open
to the public) at the school. There
will be presentations given in the gymnasium with speakers throughout the afternoon.

On Sunday, May 16 at 2:00 PM at the Gomer
United Church of Christ, there will be a choral presentation. Contact Linda Whittington (419-642-5911)

We are asking Welsh Society members to bring 2 dozen cookies for a tea following the program.
The Gomer Welsh Community Museum will be
open on both Saturday and Sunday from 1:30-4:00 PM.

Since many of the
Welsh in this area migrated north from Patty's Run (now known as Shandon, Ohio),
we are offering a bus trip to the 79th Annual Strawberry Festival
on Saturday, June 12, 2004 in Shandon, Ohio. The cost of the trip will be $25.00 per person with the deadline
to sign-up being June 2, 2004. The
bus will leave from the Gomer United Church of Christ parking lot at 8:30 AM,
and arrive at Shandon at 12:00 noon. Snacks for lunch will be available there, dinner (on your own)
at the Congregational U.C.C. at 4:30 PM, departing at 6:00 PM with arrival back
at Gomer by 9:00 PM. We are hoping
for a full bus of 55 passengers. Please
