Here are the highlights:
* Scholarship application forms: The applications are now available by contacting Verona Sandy at 7225 Gomer Rd., Gomer, Ohio 45809, (419)642-3345. The students that apply should be of Welsh decent. Deadline for the applications is August 1, 2006.
* St. David's Celebration: Saturday, March 4, 2006. Dinner and program at the Gomer United Church of Christ. Price of tickets: $6.50 purchased in advance, $7.00 at the door (limited number), $3.00 children 6-12 years old. Call the church office at (419)642-2681 for tickets and additional information.
*The Welsh Society of Northwest Ohio Annual Meeting: Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 1:00 PM in the fellowship hall of the Gomer United Church of Christ. The cost is $9.00 per person, and the meal will be catered by Ann Ross Catering, Shawnee Rd., Lima, Ohio. The menu consists of the following: Black Oak Ham, Grilled Chicken Breasts, 7-layer salad, Key Largo Blend, Baked Potato, Assorted Pies, Lemonade, Iced Tea, Coffee. Following the meal there will be a meeting, program, memorial service and door prizes.
